Meet
Marci
Marci acquired her first bedlington terrier from Coral Anderson in 1998. Her name is Champion Victoria's Little Angel and she has produced twelve champions to date. Marci founded her kennel based on the concept of careful breeding: not only champion quality bedlingtons, but also clear and healthy blood lines in regard to Copper Storage disease. Marci's primary goal is to breed bedlington terriers for the  purpose of producing healthy and competitive quality dogs based on the emerging science of genetic testing. Furthermore, with the expertise provided by her uncle, Howard G. Rush, DVM, current Director and full Professor of Veterinary Research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Marci has been able to access information and ongoing research data on the diseases endemic to bedlington terriers. With the help of her niece, Emily Gutter, a genetic counselor, Marci has patterned her breeding program to optimize the likelihood of reducing risk of genetic conditions.
